Executive Director of the American Arab Chamber of Commerce and CEO of Tejara, an incubator and accelerator for first and second generation immigrant-owned businesses and founders. Appointed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer to represent business on Michigan’s Workforce Development Commission, he previously served as public engagement director in the executive office of the Michigan Department of State, project manager for the City of Cheboygan, and Chair of Michigan’s Language Access Task Force. He holds bachelor’s degrees in public health and neuropsychology from Wayne State University and a Master’s in Public Administration, with certificates from Michigan State University and Harvard Business School. He serves on boards including the Wayne State University Alumni Board, the United Humanitarian Foundation, Don’t Be Shai, the Islamic House of Wisdom, APIA Vote MI, and the Dearborn Heights Libraries Board, and advises the Dearborn and Dearborn Heights Model United Nations clubs.

A government affairs and operations leader with a strong background in public service, regional collaboration, and community engagement. He serves as Deputy Director of the American Arab Chamber of Commerce, where he leads government relations, programming, and strategic operations, and as Director of Tejara, the Chamber’s innovation and incubation hub supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses. Previously, as Director of Government and Corporate Affairs for Wayne County under Executive Warren C. Evans, he led the County’s legislative agenda at the state and federal levels as a key liaison in Lansing and Washington, D.C., and championed the drive to expand transit access countywide. Earlier, as Community Relations Manager at SMART, he led initiatives connecting diverse communities across Southeast Michigan to regional transit, building trust among ethnic and underserved communities. Across all roles, he is recognized for uniting public, private, and community stakeholders to drive impactful policy, strengthen economic opportunity, and support inclusive growth.

A board-certified physician in internal medicine, sleep medicine, and pulmonary critical care, and a clinical assistant professor teaching Michigan State University students and residents. He is founder and chairman of Stockbridge Enterprises, established in 1995 to revive distressed projects into profitable, sustainable businesses, and of the Stockbridge Foundation, supporting charity and disaster relief, including the expansion of Ascension Macomb Hospital. Elected chairman of the Michigan Muslim Community Council in 2018, he treated patients on the front lines of the pandemic, donated scarce protective equipment to health systems across Michigan, and coordinated hundreds of volunteers to distribute more than 500,000 boxes of food. In 2022 he founded World Peace Outreach to continue his work in community service and bridge-building across Michigan and the nation. He has received numerous congressional, state, and city awards.

Founder and CEO of HYPE Athletics Community, a nationally recognized nonprofit empowering underserved communities through athletics, education, wellness, and social services. Since 2001 he has grown HYPE into one of Michigan’s most impactful community organizations: over 290,000 square feet of community space, a 50-acre recreation complex at Detroit’s Belle Isle Park, and more than 52,000 youth and families served each year through vocational training, academic enrichment, youth athletics, and behavioral health programs. He also leads the SAFE Psychology & Wellness Center, providing mental health, substance abuse recovery, and crisis response services across the region. He serves as Vice Chair of the Dearborn Schools Education Foundation and on the board of the Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce. His leadership philosophy: community comes first.

President of Governmental Consultant Services, Inc. (GCSI), founded in 1983 by a former Senate Republican Leader and a former Democratic House Speaker as Michigan’s first truly bipartisan, multi-client lobbying firm, and a trusted, influential presence in Michigan politics for more than 40 years. She joined GCSI in 2009 after a career in public service and community relations focused on infrastructure and transit projects in Southeast Michigan. She served six years in the Michigan House of Representatives, including as Chair of the House Regulatory Reform Committee, was previously President of the Southgate City Council, and spent ten years with Wayne County. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

Managing Partner of Oak Law in Royal Oak, focused on regulatory compliance, contract strategy, and operational growth in highly regulated industries. Born and raised in Dearborn, he works closely with clients navigating complex regulatory agencies and brings that experience to building strong local business relationships across Michigan’s economic community.

Policy Coordinator for the Michigan Economic Empowerment PAC, working to advance policies that strengthen and uplift Michigan communities. A public health advocate and community organizer, she has contributed to campaigns supporting community-focused leaders, building deep experience in grassroots outreach, coalition-building, and civic engagement. A Wayne State University graduate in public health, she developed bilingual English and Arabic educational materials as a Health Education Intern at ACCESS, connecting underserved families to vital health services, and spent more than five years as a pharmacy technician counseling patients, supporting immunization efforts, and helping community members navigate barriers to access. Fluent in English and Arabic, she also works in marketing and communications, designing outreach that reaches diverse audiences. A longtime Dearborn resident now home in Dearborn Heights, she remains deeply rooted in the Metro Detroit community she serves.
